we use past simple to say completed accions in the past.
Tor form we put -ed to the regular verbs , ex: Play , played , and we use 2nd colum of irregulars verbs in the irregulars verbs.
past continuous when is a concret accion in a concret moemnt in the past, and we use verb to be  + a verb with -ing.
ex: I was playing at the park yesterday at 15.00
