aristotélica es el modo de ser por
el cual el hombre se hace bueno y realiza
acciones de acuerdo con la virtud. Estas
acciones serán, por tanto, agradables,
buenas y hermosas. El hombre virtuoso,
para este pensador, es aquel que juzga
rectamente; en esto radica el buen vivir y el
bien actuar, haciendo a los seres humanos
que las practican, felices. Son las virtudes
intelectuales en Aristóteles las que acom-
pañan la razón y por poseerla, gobiernan
el alma y la preparan para perfeccionar los
actos verdaderos. Las disposiciones por
las cuales el alma posee la verdad son: el
arte, la ciencia, la prudencia, la sabiduría
y el intelecto. En esta reflexión nos ocupa-
remos de las virtudes del arte (téchne), la
prudencia (phrónesis) y la sabiduría (sophía)
por tratarse de virtudes que dentro de la
obra moral de Aristóteles nos ayudarán
en la construcción de una bioética para la
experimentación con animales.

Abstract
Aristotelian virtue is a way through
which a man becomes a good being and
acts according to that virtue. The actions
performed will be, then, nice, good and
beautiful. The virtuous man, for Aristotle,
is the one who judges correctly, and that
fact is the base for good living and acting,
thus giving happiness to those who prac-
tice that virtue. The intellectual virtues
in Aristotle are those that accompany
the reason and, given the fact they have
that reason, virtues govern the soul and
prepare it for bringing perfection to true
acts. The provisions because of which soul
has the truth are: art, science, prudence,
wisdom and intellect. This reflection is
about art (téchne), prudence (phrónesis) and
wisdom (sophía) because those are the vir-
tues that, as they are included in the moral
work of Aristotle, will help us to build a
bioethical framework for experimenting
