My weekend in Manchester


It is Sunday night and I am staying with my brother in Manchester for a few days. He is a college student. Yesterday was amazing. In the morning, we were close to the Old Trafford football stadium. There was a match between Manchester United and Manchester City and the atmosphere was incredible. But the weather was terrible! So in the afternoon, the entertainment was ... shopping! We were in Afflecks for hours. It is a huge old building with a lot of interesting little shops. It is better than a mall. There are cafes, vintage clothing stores, costumes, roller skates, vintage records, jewelry stores, and patisseries with the best cupcakes. And then at night, we were in Chinatown at a great restaurant. The food was delicious! I wasn't interested in getting up early this morning. I was so tired! In the afternoon we were in Castlefield. It is a heritage park. There is an original ancient Roman fort, the world's first industrial canal, and the oldest train station in the world. Okay, it's old stuff, but I had an amazing day!
