JAMERBOI-From Alaska to Ushuaia on a bicycle.
Damián "Jamerboi" López was born in 1975 in Mar del Plata, Argentina. grew up and got his
Doctorate in Chemistry there too. He always had two passions: Science and sports- especially
cycling.
Jamerboi began his bike trips about 15 years ago, but made his first important trip, across
Patagonia, in 1998. After that he went on many long and difficult expeditions and he met a lot of
new people. But he had a dream: Alaska- Ushuaia.
In 2000, he bought his famous bike: Maira, beautiful! He didn't have much money, but he saw it
and loved it. He paid 500 dollars for it.
Finally, on 7th June, 2007, he began his Alaska-Ushuaia adventure, forty-five months! And he
didn't buy a new bike; Maira was fine all along.
Now every time he goes on a trip with Maira, he visits Aldeas Infantiles SOS in Argentina and
other countries. He likes helping people a lot.
