1. The present subjunctive
Shape:The present subjunctive is the true form of this verbal way in English. In the affirmative sentences, it has the form of infinitive without "to" of the verb. The present subjunctive is invariable, that is, it has the same form for all people:
I suggest that you take some time off from work.
The negative present subjunctive has the form "not + verb":
I suggest that you do not take time off work.
