Statue of Liberty
Liberty Enlightening the World (Liberty Enlightening the World), known as the Statue of Liberty, is one of the most famous monuments in New York, the United States and all the world. It is located on Liberty Island south of Manhattan Island, at the mouth of the Hudson River and near Ellis Island. The Statue of Liberty was a gift from the French to Americans in 1886 to commemorate the centennial of the United States Declaration of Independence and as a sign of friendship between the two nations.

The hills black are in Dakota of the South. In the hills black is located a monument national. Pays tribute to four Presidents of the United States.
Their faces are carved in a mountain called Mount Rushmore. Gave that name in homage to Charles E. Rushmore, a lawyer for the city of New York.
He was visiting the are on business.
Mount Rushmore is a special place. It took fourteen years to carve the faces.
The monument was designed by an artist's name Gutzon Borglum.
Four hundred people worked on Mount Rushmore. Was a work very dangerous, but nobody died while be carving the Mount Rushmore.
In the Mount Rushmore is pays tribute to four Presidents. When you look at the monument, you see the Presidents in this order:
George Washington on the far left,
Thomas Jefferson is to the right of Washington,
Theodore Roosevelt is to the right of Jefferson, and
Abraham Lincoln is on the extreme right.
