10-Humans have always loved to know more and hearing, reading, or watching news is a way to do so.

2-Even before newspapers existed, humans had been exchanging news. It is one of the oldest human activities. People asked travelers to share their news at crossroads. News that was considered important, was repeated to more people so the news spread.

3-Although newspapers as we know them are a product of the printing press, handwritten publications had circulated in different cities even before its inventión.

4-These publications shared some characteristics with newspapers, but they are not considered true newspapers. This is because they weren’t intended for the general public and their topics were limited.

5-Some early publications were posted in public places so people could read them, but not many people could read. However,

7-The way news is exchanged has changed just like the world we live in has changed. Technological advances have allowed these changes to happen. In the 18th century, newspapers were used to circulate news. Then, in the 20th century, radio and TV became another way to share news. Now, in the 21st century, the Internet is one of the preferred ways to find out about any relevant information and events around the world.

9-The Internet has also changed the way we get news. We can now see live news online at any hour of the day in any place in the world (as long as there is Internet connection). It allows us to watch, read, and hear the same information from different sources, this can let us listen to different perspectives regarding the same matter. We can then reach our own conclusions.

1-News is information about current events. News can be provided through different media. Media are the communication tools that are used to store and deliver information. News can have different topics such as government, war, politics, health, the environment, economy, business, fashion, entertainment, education, and sports.

8-The news that reaches us has also changed. Before globalization and all the new technologies available today, people had only been able to hear and learn about events close to where they lived. Nowadays we can read, hear, and watch news from all over the world. These new ways in which we can access information allows us to learn more about the world and the people that live in it.

6-Europeans had read aloud for centuries. Even ancient Greeks read their texts aloud. So people could listen to others as they read the publications.
