Explicación: te están pidiendo que uses el was y were para formar oraciones en pasado, así como el ejemplo que dice: i was using my mobile phone/ yo estaba usando mi teléfono movil.

el was se usa para she, he, it

el were se usa para, we, they, you.

después que eso fue una afirmación, vos tenes que ponerlo en negativo, como el ejemplo que dice i wasn't using my mobile phone/ yo no estaba usando mi teléfono (wasn't es la abreviacion de i/she/he/it was not) y despues con el weren't (were not).

ahora hay que formular preguntas con el was y were, es facil solo tenes que darle vuelta, si la oracion dice i was using my mobile phone, y yo quiero preguntar ¿yo estaba usando mi telefono a las 8 am? WAS I using my mobile phone at 8 am? ¿tu estabas escuchando música a las 8 am? WERE YOU listening to music at 8 am?
