1- Two days ago Charlie and Vanessa were in Charlie’s street in Hendon. A car
stopped near Charlie’s house. A short man got out and started to take things
out of the car. Charlie and Vanessa didn’t know him so they decided to say
hello.
“Hello,” said Charlie, “Do you live here? We always walk down this road.”
“That’s right” answered the man, “I will move in here next Saturday. I am your new
neighbour and I work as a magician.”

2- Last weekend David was alone in his warm room. He had to write a story about
London but he had no ideas. He walked up and down the room, but it didn’t
help. He took a book down from the shelf and started to read and soon fell
asleep.
Two hours later he suddenly woke up. “Oh no, I don’t have any more time left!” he
said. He went to his desk and his mouth and eyes opened wide with surprise. “I didn’t
write that!” he cried – his homework was finished. David was glad, “Now I won’t get in
trouble tomorrow,” he thought.
