Voz activa: Los niños recibieron regalos.

Voz pasiva: Los regalos fueron recibidos por los niños.

Como habrás notado, en la voz activa el sujeto es el que actúa. Mientras que en la voz pasiva, el sujeto de la oración es el objeto sobre el que se actúa.

Lo mismo pasa con el inglés. Hagamos el mismo ejemplo pero traducido al inglés:

Voz activa: They children received some gifts.

Voz pasiva: Some gifts were received by the children.
