► ADVERBIOS TERMINADOS EN '-LY'
1. Formación
En inglés los adverbios terminados en '-ly' son equivalentes a los adverbios terminados en '-mente'- del español. En ambos casos se trata de adverbios de modo.
Así como en español estos adverbios de modo se forman añadiendo el sufijo (= terminación) '-mente' a la forma femenina singular de los adjetivos, en inglés, los adverbios de modo se forman añadiendo el sufijo '-ly' a los adjetivos.
Ejemplos:
• quick (= rápido) ➙ quickLY (= rápidamente)
• intelligent (= inteligente) ➙ intelligentLY (= inteligentemente)
• general (= general) ➙ generalLY (= generalmente)
• careful (= cuidadoso) ➙ carefulLY (= cuidadosamente)
• useful (= útil) ➙ usefulLY (= útilmente)
Cuando el adjetivo termina en '-y', se cambia esa '-y' por '-i' antes de añadir el sufijo '-ly' para formar el adverbio.
Ejemplos:
• easy (= fácil) ➙ easILY (= fácilmente)
• happy (= feliz) ➙ happILY (= felizmente)

2. La mayoría de los adverbios de este ejercicio están en grado comparativo.
➜ COMPARATIVO DE LOS ADVERBIOS
a) El comparativo de superioridad de un adverbio regular se forma igual que el de los adjetivos largos: se añade el adverbio 'more' delante del adverbio y la palabra 'than' después del adverbio:
Ejemplos:
• slowly (= lentamente) ➙ more slowly than (= más lentamente que)
• kindly (= amablemente) ➙ more kindly than (= más amablemente que)
b) El comparativo de inferioridad de un adverbio regular se forma igual que el de los adjetivos largos: se añade el adverbio 'less' delante del adverbio y la palabra 'than' después del adverbio:
