The seventh grade were doing an exercise from the English book to practice prepositions of motion. There they found
the following text. This one was incomplete and the students must complete it
Every morning, I wake up and walk the stairs. I go the kitchen and have
breakfast. At 8a.m. I go the house. The street is very busy so I have to be very careful when I
go the road to the bus stop. As I walk my office, I always meet someone that I know. When I get to the office, I walk the stairs to my office on the second floor. At lunchtime,
I eat at a nearby restaurant. I like to sit quietly and I sit at the back, so I have to walk the
restaurant to find a table.
1. Use the following words to fill the gaps in the previous exercise; through, up, towards, across, to, out of, into,
down.
2. Write the main idea about the text and explain the function of the prepositions of motion in the text
3. Make a listo f the verbs and nouns that you find in the text
