Were si el sujeto es plural (we, you (vosotros), they)

Para este tipo de ejercicio si te va bien intenta traducir la frase para identificar de quién se está hablando p.ej:
1. ¿Quien __ el mejor jugador de fútbol en Gran Bretaña el año pasado?

Fíjate que esta preguntando por alguien en 3a persona del singular (he/she), entonces usamos el was.
