Vivimos en un mundo de cuerpos perfectos y mentes vacías, donde los medios de comunicación solo promueven un ideal de belleza basado en el régimen de los centímetros y las calorías.
El objetivo de este ensayo es brindar una aproximación al lector al concepto de vigorexia y generar conciencia de las repercusiones de este trastorno; ya que el culto excesivo al cuerpo nos ha dejado como consecuencia un problema de salud pública, tanto así que la sociedad en lugar de promover la aceptación de la imagen corporal alaba a aquellos que llegan a tener unas medidas perfectas, sin importar las consecuencias de lo que esto conlleve.
