GUADALAJARA
It is the land of tequila and mariachi. A city that does not rest, but that does dazzle. The Pearl of the West and the City of Roses. This is Guadalajara, warm and inviting.
It is a city that is located in the west of the Mexican Republic, in the western region of the Pacific. It is the capital of the state of Jalisco and at the same time, it constitutes the most populated city in Mexico.
As can be deduced, it is one of the most important cities in the country and concentrates a good part of the financial, political, cultural and educational institutions.
Guadalajara is a municipality and capital of the Mexican state of Jalisco, as well as the head of the urban area that bears its name: Guadalajara Metropolitan Area.

Its name comes from the Arabic Wad-al-Hidjara which means: "Rio que corre entre piedras" or "Rio predregoso"
