1-According to Genesis, Noah was the son of Lamek and belonged to the ninth generation after Adam. Noble and pious patriarch, when God decided to eliminate the corruption of men on earth by sending the flood, he chose Noah to safeguard the future of the human race. After warning him of what was going to happen, God ordered Noah to build, according to his instructions, an ark capable of floating on water and to keep in it a pair of each animal species. Finally, Noah, his wife, and their three sons with their wives entered the ark and the flood ensued, which lasted for forty days.

2-according to the passage of genesis it rained 40 days and 40 nights.
