Damon is the singer-songwriter in Gorillaz. He was born on March 23rd, 1968 in East London, England, but he grew up in Colchester. He started playing the violin and the piano when he was twelve. After high school, he studied drama. He didn't like acting, and he started writhing music.
He went to London in 1987 and he worked as a tea boy in a studio. He worked on his music at night.
A year later, he formed a band, Circus, with his old school friend, Graham Coxon. They signed a contract and became Blur. Damon formed Gorillaz in 1999
