Now you are going to write a book review. Follow these steps.
Step 1 Start with the book’s title
Step 2 Use adjectives and descriptive phrases
Step 3 Explain the story but don’t tell the end! Step 4 Write your opinion of the book.
Step 5 Why should people read the book? Write the complete review in your notebook
TIP
When writing a book review, we usually use the present tenses (The main character is a boy. When the family is traveling to the coast, the children play with their cousins.) to write about the plot. We also use adjectives – descriptive words – to talk about the scenery and background. (The boy was very timid, thin, and weak.)

Cuando escribimos una reseña de un libro, solemos utilizar el presente (El personaje principal es un niño. Cuando la familia viaja a la costa, los niños juegan con sus primos) para escribir sobre la trama. También usamos adjetivos, palabras descriptivas, para hablar sobre el paisaje y el fondo. (El niño era muy tímido, delgado y débil).
