Explicación:
For monohybrid cross, Mendel began with a pair of pea plants with two contrasting traits, i.e., one tall and another dwarf.
- In F1 (Filial 1) generation,
- The cross-pollination of tall (TT) and dwarf plants (tt) resulted in tall plants(Tt). Since T is dominant character , the resulting trait comes as Tall plant(heterozygous).
Tall HOMO vs Dwarf Homo
TT vs tt
Tt(Tall hetero)
- In F2 generation,
- Both of the resulting traits from F1 generation (Tt) are cross pollinated, to give following traits.
Tall hetero vs Tall hetero
Tt vs Tt
TT Tt Tt tt
- u will get 1( tall HOMOZYGOUS), 2 (Tall heterozygous ) ,1 (dwarf homozygous)
- Phenotypic ratio: 3(tall) : 1 (dwarf) => 3:1
- Genotypic ratio: 1(tall HOMOZYGOUS):2(tall heterozygous):1(dwarf homozygous) => 1:2:1
