The French Revolution was an uprising in France against the monarchy from 1789 to 1799 which resulted in the establishment of France as a republic.
2) Identify and explain what was happening to each social class by 1789. Use the sources contained in the booklet (from page 104 to 109) in order to justify your opinion.
The social classes were 3, or states, The clergy was the First Estate, the nobles were the Second Estate, and the peasants were the Third Estate. The Third Estate was the largest but had few rights at all.
