The so-called Angel of Independence is a historical landmark located
on Reforma Avenue, in the capital of Mexico. Back in 1902, president
Porfirio Diaz placed the first stone of this monument to commemorate the
independence of Mexico from Spain. Eight years later, the monument was
officially inaugurated on September 16th, 1910. just a century after the
start of the war for independence.
This monument means a lot to Mexicans, too. El Angel

colloquially, also worked as a mausoleum where the remains of historical
