Buildings for Entertainment

jacksonparragarcia7: Among the entertainment buildings built by the Romans we can highlight: Amphitheatres, Theaters and Colosseums. The Romans also cultivated a fine culture of spa, gym and body care, so the Roman baths would also be found in this group of buildings for leisure and entertainment.

Roman amphitheaters were places where athletic, musical and theatrical fights were held in the arena, as well as the famous Roman beasts and duels.

Roman theaters were spaces for dramaturgy, opera and comedy, emulated by the ancient Greeks. Designed for perfect acoustics, they were the setting for countless plays.

The coliseums were the fighting arenas, where battles to the death were fought between beasts and gladiators, or between Christians and wild beasts or between gladiators. The Colosseum in Rome has a capacity for 50,000 people seated.
