Para solucionar un sistema de ecuaciones por el método de reducción seguiremos el siguiente procedimiento:

1. Asignaremos un nombre a nuestras ecuaciones

2. Multiplicaremos a uno o dos de las ecuaciones por un factor

3. Sumamos o restamos las ecuaciones

 

Comencemos a resolver

1. Asignemos un nombre a nuestras ecuaciones

                                  $\mathsf{2x + 3y = 2\:......................\boldsymbol{(\alpha)}}\\\mathsf{-6x + 12y =1 \:..................\boldsymbol{(\beta)}}$

 

2. Multipliquemos a $(\mathsf{\alpha}})$ por 3 y a $(\mathsf{\beta}})$ por 1

    ✅  En $\mathsf{\alpha}}$

                                                $\center \mathsf{2x + 3y = 2}\\\center \mathsf{3\times(2x + 3y = 2)}\\ \center \mathsf{6x + 9y = 6} \mathsf{......(i)}$

 

   ✅  En $\mathsf{\beta}}$

                                              $\center \mathsf{6x + 12y = 1 }\\\center \mathsf{1\times(6x + 12y = 1)}\\\center \mathsf{6x + 12y = 1} \mathsf{......(ii)}$

 

3. Restamos las ecuaciones (i) y (ii)

                                                   $\mathsf{\:\:\:\:6x + 9y = 6}\:\:\:\:-\\\underline{\mathsf{-6x + 12y = 1}}$

                                     $\center \mathsf{(6x + 9y) - (6x + 12y)=(6) - (1)}\\\center \mathsf{9y - 12y = 5}\\\center \mathsf{-3y = 5}\\\center \boxed{\boldsymbol{\mathsf{y = -5/3}}}$

4. Reemplazamos "y" en $(\mathsf{\alpha})$ o $(\mathsf{\beta})$, nosotros reemplazaremos en $(\mathsf{\alpha})$

                                                 $\center \mathsf{2x + 3y = 2}\\\center \mathsf{2x + 3(-3/5) = 2}\\\\\center \mathsf{2x - 9/5 = 2}\\\\\center \mathsf{2x = 2 + 9/5}\\\\\center \mathsf{2x = 19/5}\\\\ \center \boxed{\boldsymbol{\mathsf{x = 19/10}}}$

La solución del sistema es (19/10 , -5/3)
