5x + 8y = 24           (1)

8x + 5y =20.85       (2)

Por reducción de términos semejantes: (1) por -5       (2) por 8:

-25x - 40y = -120

64x + 40y = 166.8
39x = 46.8
x = 1.2

5x + 8y =24
5(1.2) + 8y =24
6 +8y = 24
8y = 18
y= 2.25

Respuesta:
2x + 3y = 2(1.2) + 3 (2.25) = 2.4 + 6.75 = 9.15
