64x² - 2(8x) - 24/8
(8x -  6)  (8x +  4) /8 
2(4x - 3) 4(2x + 1) /8
(4x - 3) (2x + 1)
Igualar a cero ambas expresiones
4x - 3 = 0       2x + 1 = 0
4x = 3             2x = - 1
  x = 3/4           x = - 1/2    estas son tus soluciones

                                    Cuando x vale:
x = 3/4                                                    x = - 1/2
8x² - 2x - 3 = 0                                 8x² - 2x - 3 = 0
8(3/4)² - 2(3/4) - 3 = 0                      8(-1/2)² - 2(-1/2) - 3 = 0

  8x² + 10x - 3 = x² + 2x - 3      Elimino -3 an ambos miembros
8x² + 10x = x² + 2x  juntar términos semejantes e igualar a cero
8x² - x² + 10x - 2x = 0  
7x² + 8x = 0    Factor común x
x(7x + 8) = 0  separar las expresiones e igualar a cero
x = 0   7x + 8 = 0
            7x = - 8
              x = -8/7
Tus soluciones son:
x = 0,    x = - 8/7
Comprobación
x = - 8/7   
(4x - 1) (2x + 3) = (x + 3) (x - 1)
