pipe. The outer tube is connected to an inner tube by a U-gauge that contains mercury of

density ρ = 13.6 kg / l. The inner tube has a frontal hole A. Due to the pressure difference

between the air in the inner and outer tubes, the liquid columns in the U-tube have a difference

height h, as shown in the figure. Consider air density at aircraft altitude

as ρair = 0.93 kg / m3

. The plane's speed in relation to the air is worth 180 m / s. Determine the

height of the mercury column h. ​
