Explicación:
In the world of animals lived a very proud and vain hare, who did not stop proclaiming that she was the fastest animal in the forest, and who spent the day making fun of the slowness of the tortoise.
- Hey, turtle, don't run so much! She said the hare laughing at the tortoise.
One day, it occurred to the tortoise to make an unusual bet on the hare:
- Hare, are we going to have a race? I'm sure I can beat you.
- To me? The hare asked in astonishment.
- Yes, yes, to you, said the tortoise. Let's place our bets and see who wins the race.
The hare, very smug, promptly accepted the bet.
So all the animals gathered to watch the race. The owl has been responsible for signaling the starting and finishing points. And so the race began:
Cunning and self-confident, the hare ran off, leaving the tortoise behind, coughing and enveloped in a cloud of dust. When she started to walk, the hare was already out of sight. Regardless of the advantage the hare had over her, the tortoise kept pace with her, without stopping.
The hare, meanwhile, trusting that the tortoise would take a long time to catch up, stopped halfway before a leafy green tree, and rested before finishing the race. There she fell asleep, while the tortoise kept walking, step after step, slowly, but without stopping.
It is not known how long the hare fell asleep, but when she woke up, she saw with horror that the tortoise was only three steps away from the goal. In a start, she ran with all her might, but it was too late: the tortoise had reached the finish line and won the race!
