1. E-books do not take up physical space. The traditional books for a great reader flood the whole house, with the consequent accumulation of dust and loss of space.
2. With electronic books, even if you lose the reader, you can have a backup of your book with your notes on your pc or on the internet. The Library of Alexandria burned down and lost forever, it had no backup.
3. E-books (not the reader) are cheaper. By reducing costs for storage, transportation and runs of hundreds or thousands of copies, prices are lower than printed books. Shipping costs are over!
4. There is no printing so it is faster which allows you to have books on current affairs more quickly, and they are also easily updated, to correct errors and add information.
5. E-books can be delivered almost instantly. You have a whole library within the reach of a click.
DISADVANTAGES
1 E-book readers need a computer and also an Internet connection to buy e-books.
2. The e-book reader can be damaged, it is electronic equipment and as such can be damaged.
3. Requires minimal knowledge of technology. The person who uses it will need to be able to connect to the internet, find a book, download it and pass the ebook to him, people who have never done it will need a little help to get it.
4. Part of the traditional ritual of the personal presentation of a book is lost.
5. Although there are Gift Cards in online stores, the process is not easy for the inexperienced, nor does it have the charm of the gift of a printed book.
