• hábitos y rutinas actuales,
• verdades generales,
• situaciones permanentes,
• estados y
• eventos programados en el futuro.

¿Cómo se forma?  

Affirmative:  

I/you/we/they + infinitivo + complemento  

He/she/it + verbo terminado en -s/-es + complemento  

Negative:    

I/you/we/they + do not (don't) + infinitivo + complemento  

He/she/it + does not (doesn't) + infinitivo + complemento  

Interrogative:  

Do + I/you/we/they + infinitivo + complemento  

Does + he/she/it + infinitivo + complemento

Nota: un verbo en infinitivo es un verbo sin conjugación.  

El presente continuo se usa para hablar de:  

• Eventos en progreso
• Acciones o situaciones temporales en progreso
• Acciones o situaciones que están cambiando o desenvolviéndose en el momento
• Hábitos considerados molestos (normalmente acompañado de always)
• Planes para el futuro cercano.

¿Cómo se forma?  

Affirmative:  

Sujeto + verb to be + gerundio

Negative:  

Sujeto + verb to be + not + gerundio  

Interrogative:  

Verb to be + sujeto + gerundio...?

Nota: el gerundio es el verbo terminado en -ing.
