Esto es el verbo TO BE. Éste significa "ser" o "estar". Siempre se conjuga de tres formas según cuál sea el sujeto:

• Si el pronombre es "I", siempre va seguido de "am".

EJEMPLO:

• Si el pronombre es "We", "You" o "They", siempre va seguido del "are".

EJEMPLOS:

• Si el pronombre es "She", "He" o "It", siempre va seguido del "is".

¿QUÉ PASA EN EL CASO DE QUE HAYA UN NOMBRE DE PERSONA?

Bueno, si te llegará a salir "María __ eating", para poder saber cuál usar, tenés que fijarte qué reemplazaría ese nombre. Es decir, pensar en que María es una chica, o sea, ella. En inglés "she". Y éste siempre va seguido de "is".

Si te sale en plural, "María and Lucas" por ejemplo, siempre iría el "are".
