This month we're asking our readers to help their friends and family to "act
green". Here is what one reader says:
My parents don't have a very Green lifestyle! They live in Arizona, and they
use a lot of electricity for air conditioning. My dad always forgets to turn off
his computer at night, and that uses a lot of electricity, too. They also water
their yard a lot. But they know the environment is important, and they're
trying to change some things.
Now they're turning off the air conditioning and opening windows in the
mornings when it's cool. They're turning off lights and computers when
they're not using them. I'm helping them to plant cactus and other plants that
don't need much water in their yard, so they're using less water now.
