Care of the Earth
Earth is a living entity that breathes. Without due and constant care, there will be consequences that are very difficult to ignore.
The little plant icon represents organic growth, a key ingredient in sustaining life on Earth.
Caring for the Earth can be interpreted as caring for the living soil. The state of the soil is often the best measure of the health and well-being of society. There are many good techniques for caring for the soil, but the best method to see if the soil is healthy is to see how much life grows there.
Our forests and rivers are the lungs and veins of the planet, helping the Earth to live and breathe, sustaining many different life forms. All forms of life have their own intrinsic value, and need to be respected for the functions they fulfill, even if we do not see them useful for our needs.
By reducing our consumption of "things", we reduce the impact on the environment, which is the best place to take care of all living things.
