Synopsis
Larry Daley lives in New York. He is divorced but has a young son. Larry is unemployed, but
one day, he gets a job as a night watchman at the Museum of Natural History in Manhattan. He
is replacing three old security guards that are about to retire (1).
On his first shift, when Larry is walking around the place, he discovers that the large skeleton
of a Tyrannosaurus Rex is drinking water from the water fountain (2); he gets very scared and
now, he is running really fast! The security guard realizes that everything comes to life at the
museum during the night. At the moment, while Larry is hiding behind the information desk,
he remembers a note with instructions he has from one of the old security guards and so he
understands how to distract the T-rex. More characters from the museum are running around
the place creating chaos everywhere, but Larry is reading the old security guard's instructions
and he knows what to do. Some days later, Larry learns how to control the living collection of
the museum. He usually gets along very well with all of them. He is ready to bring some order
to the enchanted place every night.
The days are going by (3) and tonight, Larry is giving his son a tour round the museum. But the
night is falling and the guard, his son and the whole museum are in danger because the three
old watchmen are back to the museum, they are trying to steal the Egyptian magical stone
tablet that brings to life everything at the museum. Finally, with the help of all the museum's
characters, rry can get the magical tablet back and saves the day. Larry Daley never gets
bored with his job at the museum. He is always ready to have a new adventure.
