I've got a great job. I get free tickets to concerts all over
the country, I go to the concerts, and then I write reviews
But last week, I really thought about changing careers.
It was all because of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts
Festival in Indio, California. There was a rap concert at
the festival, with Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Tupac.
Tupac? Tupac died in 1996, so how was he there? Well,
the organisers of the Coachella Festival decided to bring
this famous rapper back for one more exciting concert -
as a hologram!
I thought it was terrible! Tupac was a fantastic musician,
but he's dead. I don't go to concerts to see dead singers
perform. Yes, the technology is incredible. The designers
of the hologram used old films of Tupac to reproduce his voice and his actions, and they did a great job. But
I prefer live concerts with real musicians. Anyway,
maybe that's just me because about 100,000 people at
the concert loved the performance. Oh, well!
