On Christmas Eve we usually prepare traditional food, in my country they are Hallacas, which are a kind of lumps of dough with a stew wrapped in a banana leaf. We also make ham bread, pasticho and cream punch.
We share as a family, we thank, pray, toast and finally wait for midnight for the birth of the child of God and to receive Santa Claus.

The way that Christmas Eve is celebrated in many countries varies, some celebrate it as a special day but without giving it much emphasis, while in others like mine we celebrate it as a special, unique and incomparable day.
Although what can vary the most according to the country are the traditions of that day, it also depends on the religion that is practiced.

Generally, on Christmas Eve the whole family gathers at the grandmother's house, special meals are prepared for the occasion, we give gifts to our loved ones and we sing Christmas songs.
In the same way, we dance, have Christmas drinks, and we all dress in the same sweater.

I know that each culture has its way of celebrating the holidays, each culture has different foods to celebrate, they have different dances and songs that make them unique and special.
For example, in Korea, December 24 is a date for couples but not for families, which is totally different in America.
