Tourism and long trips have not always existed. In the past, it was very difficult to travel. For example, most people who lived in the mountains never went to the sea.

There were no hotels or hostels. The means of transportation were not comfortable. They traveled very slowly, and they were expensive. However, that changed in the 19th century. Businesspersons began to build hostels and hotels. Transportation also developed. Buses, trains, and airplanes began to transport tourists. Today, there are many types of tourism.
