A story about a girl's search for her
younger brother who is trapped in the
mystical realm of a goblin king. One
afternoon, Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) is in
the park pretending to be in her fantasy
world when she realizes that she is very
late to take care of her little brother as her
parents leave. Sarah comes home quite
late and gets the typical row from her
parents and is left alone with her little
brother, whom she has to take care of and
whom she blames for all her ills. Above,
her brother does not stop crying, and she,
fed up with him, begins to ask the goblins
of her fantasy world to take him away and
never return. To her surprise and horror,
her wishes come true, and the goblins
take her little brother to the labyrinth,
home of the goblin king, Jareth. through
the labyrinth, and thus prevent his brother
from turning into a goblin. With this basic
argument, we are introduced to a few
creatures and characters that will
accompany Sarah in the search for his
brother and in his attempt to cross the
labyrinth. In her adventure, Sarah will
meet Hoggle, a grumpy dwarf; Ludo, a
huge but very cute beast; Sir Dydimus, a
fox who thinks he is a medieval knight and
rides his steed: a dog. All these characters
and some more will accompany Sarah on
her adventure of crossing the labyrinth and
saving her brother from being turned into agoblin by King Jareth. Jareth himself
appears before Sarah and gives her a
chance to get her brother back: he has 13
hours to try to get to his castle.
