Las palabras WAS y WERE corresponde a la conjugación en pasado del verbo TO BE (AM, ARE, IS), esta cumple las siguientes reglas para su utilización:
- Utilizamos WAS para el tiempo pasado del verbo SER/ESTAR (To Be) de la primera persona del singular ( I ) y las terceras personas del singular (He, She, It) .
- Empleamos WERE al conjugar el verbo SER/ESTAR (To Be) para la segunda persona del singular (You) y las primeras,segundas y terceras personas del plural (We, You, They)
