In front of es una preposición que significa “enfrente de”. La usamos para un objeto que está frente a otro o frente a nosotros:
I have a store in front of the school.
The dog is in front of the sheeps.
Behind, por su parte, significa detrás. Nos sirve para hablar de objetos que están detrás de algo o alguien:
John, Mary is behind you.
Give me the phone that is behind the watch, please.
beside, next to. Junto, a un lado cerca de. Sirve para expresar que un objeto está a un lado o junto a otro.
Beside nos da la idea de algo que está junto a otra cosa, en un lugar determinado:
My pen is beside my glasses.
The screwdriver is beside the other tools.
