Would it be logical to kill half the population so that the other half will postpone? (taking into account that they would be killed randomly and not the exact half of each species)

I do not think it would be logical, by killing half the population in a way that is not exact for all species, this would generate a disorder in the ecosystems and biosystems around the world leading everything to environmental catastrophe and it will surely take years to replace all this damage
