4TH OF JULY — INDEPENDENCE DAY
On Independence Day, we often decorate the house in red, white, and blue because they are the colors of our flag. We have a party at home and we sing special songs. We don't wear costumes but we often wear red, white and blue clothes or a flag pin. We watch street parades in the afternoon.
25th December- Christmas
Here, Christmas is in the summer holidays — it's often hot, about 30 C. We always decorate a Christmas tree, send cards and give presents. Some people go to church. On Christmas Eve —24th December -we usually visit relatives and eat special food. We watch fireworks at 12:00 am to celebrate the start of Christmas Day. Then we have fun opening presents. We usually go to bed very late!
