casson2005: Explain for 5 star
flogadi15: Blood is a colloid.
The colloid is a physico-chemical system composed of two phases: one continuous, normally fluid, and the other dispersed in the form of particles; generally solid, mesoscopic in size (midway between the macroscopic and microscopic worlds). Therefore, they are particles that are not visible to the naked eye, but much larger than any molecule.

Blood is a fluid tissue with a characteristic red color due to the presence of the hemoglobin pigment contained in erythrocytes.
flogadi15: It is a type of specialized connective tissue, with a liquid colloidal matrix and a complex constitution. It has a solid phase (formed elements, comprising white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets); and a liquid phase, represented by blood plasma.

Its main function is the logistical means of distribution and systemic integration, whose containment in the blood vessels (vascular space) allows their distribution (blood circulation) to almost the entire organism.
