My daily routine
Hello! I am Mary and I am going to write about my daily routine.
I usually get up at 7.30. I go to the bathroom, take a shower, clean my teeth and comb my hair. Then I put on my clothes. I have breakfast in the kitchen at 8 o’clock. I usually eat a boiled egg, or fried eggs and ham or bacon, some bread or toast with butter and jam or marmalade. I usually drink tea but sometimes I have corn flakes with milk.
When the weather is fine, I go to school by bicycle. When the weather is bad, I go by bus. It takes me about twenty minutes to get to school. My lessons begin at 9 o’clock. At the end of each lesson there is a break (10 or 15 minutes). During the breaks I usually go to the playground where I talk and play with my school friends. Sometimes I go to the school library where I borrow and read books, magazines and newspapers.
I have lunch at 1.30. I usually eat in the cafeteria because I have got lessons in the afternoon too. My afternoon lessons begin at 2.30 and finish at 4 o’clock.
I usually have tea at home between 4.30 and 5 o’clock. Sometimes I go for a walk after tea with some friends of mine. We sometimes go for a swim in the swimming pool. But when the weather is cold or rainy we prefer to stay at home and listen to our CDs, play games or sing or dance.
I usually do my homework before dinner but sometimes I do it after dinner because I like to watch TV when there is one of my favorite programmes. That’s between 6.30 and 7.45. My family and I have dinner at about 8 o’clock in our dining room. Then I talk with my parents and my brother. Sometimes I write e-mails to my friends, iron some clothes, help my mother in the kitchen or my father in the garden.
At weekends I sometimes go to the cinema, to the theatre, to a disco or to a party. Sometimes I go for a trip with my family. On weekdays I usually go to bed at 10.30 because I must get up early in the morning.
