Intolerable Acts was the name given to the laws issued in 1774 by the British Parliament1 due to continued discontent in the Thirteen American Colonies, particularly in Boston after turbulent incidents such as the Tea Party. The British also called them Coercive Acts or Punitive Acts. These acts accelerated the processes that culminated in the United States War of Independence and the formation of the First Continental Congress. He won't let me answer but I'll leave it here
