Dearest John

Yoday I want to talk to you about last friday when I came back from my work, I met with Judy, my old neighbour. We say hi to each other and she brought up about her new house, and told me that I should come over, of course I didn't turn down her, and yesterday I went to her home, I had to put off some plans but doesn't matter, we set up a meal and look at the sunset. Was a nice visit and we promised to get in touch more often.

And your friday how was it?

See you soon!

Sincerely,

Paula

Phrasal verbs

Las phrasal verbs son verbos compuestos por un adverbio y una preposición; estos componentes cuando se usan de manera particular significan una cosa, pero al ser utilizados juntos (como phrasal verbs) toman significados diferentes.

Ejemplo:

El verbo look, cuando lo traducimos significa mirar, pero si le añadimos la preposición up para formar 'look up', ahora la frese significa buscar.

Carta a un amigo

Dear Miguel,

I signed up for a volunteer corps and we will be assigned our first assignments tomorrow.

I'll call on animal shelter.

To get more experience, I had to read some protocols today.

It is very interesting!

I came up with a great idea for our next vacation, volunteering at the fire department.
