Estos se usan para darle continuación a las oraciones, para que juntas puedan formar un texto (se podría decir que estas unen oraciones) Ejemplo:

oración 1: My mom make breakfast.

oración 2: She take a shower.

With adverbs:

First my mom make breakfast, then she takes a shower
