We use the verb play is said when you are refering to a sport that use a ball, for example: "I love playing soccer"

We use go when we are talking about activities that end with "ing", for example: "She goes swimming every weekend".

And the meaning of do is similar to play but is used whe we are refering to an activity that don't have a ball or use "ing". An example is: " He do karate since he was a kid".
