Lucy was walking her dog in the park one morning when she ran into Roger. She hadn't seen Roger in years since they had broken up.
They had only dated for six months in 2004, but Roger had left her for a reason he had never discovered.
Therefore, today, when she was walking in the park, she was very surprised to see Roger. "Hello Roger!" she said .
Roger looked at her and said, “Oh hi Lucy. A lot of time has passed. How are you ?"
"Oh, I'm fine." Lucy said. "I was just walking my dog in the park."
"What have you been up to the last few years?" Roger asked.
"Oh you know." Lucy said. “The usual things. I've been working, getting married, having kids. Normal things that everyone does. And you? What have you been doing ?
"Oh, not much. I've been living with my parents all this time. "
" You are working ?"
“No, I am not. I am looking for work. The company I was working for at the end of last year. "
"Well that's interesting," Lucy said.
"So ... do you want to go get a coffee?" Roger asked. "I have some time before my mother waits for me back home."
"No thanks," Lucy said. “My children are waiting for me at home. I'm going to make lunch. It's good to see you though. "
"It's good to see you too."
Lucy turned and walked away. Her dog followed her and Roger watched her until she disappeared into the trees.
