Manu Ginobili is a very tall man- he is 1.98m. He is a basketball player and he plays for a professional

basketball team, the San Antonio Spurs in Texas, USA. Manu isn`t American. He is from Bahia Blanca in

Argentina.



During the basketball season, Manu trains every day and plays in basketball matches once or twice a

week. But this week, he is doing something different.!

He is coaching children on an intensive basketball course and they are learning a lot of new skills.



The San Antonio Spurs Summer Camp is for boys and girls between the ages of seven and fourteen. The

camp starts at 8.30 in the morning and finishes at 4.30 pm. It`s open five days a week from Monday to

Friday. Some of the children at the camp can play basketball very well, but others are complete beginners.

That isn`t a problema because there are lots of different levels.



Clayton Bailey (14) is attending to the camp today and he loves it. It`s great, he says. “ Manu is really

friendly and funny”. We are playing a lot of basketball and I`m making lots of new friends. I want to be an

NBA star in the future.
