One Saturday, Fernanda woke up early. He had breakfast with his family, took a quick shower, and went to work.
On the way to the office, a handsome man asked her if she knew where the nearest bank was. She told him where she was. The man asked if he could walk him to the bank and then have a cup of coffee. She said yes.
Fernanda and the man had coffee. After that, they went to the movies and then to a disco. They danced for 3 hours. Fernanda did not ask the man's name, did not add it on Facebook or WhatsApp. At midnight, the man said he had to go to the bathroom, but did not return.
Fernanda fell in love with the man; she wanted the man to come back. She waited for him for 5 years, but he did not return. Fernanda had lost all hope in love. She prayed to God frequently.
One day, Fernanda was waiting in line at the bank when a man approached her and asked what time it was. His voice sounded familiar, it was the same man; his name was José.
They were married 8 months later and had 2 beautiful daughters.
Past progressive:
Last night at eight o'clock, Casie was doing the dishes while Josie slept through the night, but in the meantime, I wasn't resting, I was working. The next day we were eating when our friends came to invite us for a picnic, but we were having a really nice picnic when it started to rain and we had to leave.
When we were coming home, we saw a restaurant open and I was asking everyone if they wanted to eat there, so we did. Josie was complaining about not being able to go out to eat, but Casie was always smiling and happy to eat such delicious food.
